Eligibility Criteria

Before you start applying for Dalian University CSC Scholarship, please check the necessary criteria and requirements, the most prominent of which are the following :

• Applicants must be non-Chinese students.
• They must be in good health.
• Applicants must meet the admission criteria for the required courses and programs.
• They must have excellent academic performance.
• Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35 to apply for a master’s degree.
• Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
• Applicants must have obtained a foreign university degree; if they have previously studied in China, they must have completed the previous degree a year ago (at least).
• They must also meet the requirements of their chosen discipline.

What are the requirements?

• The Civil Service Commission application form must be filled out.
• A copy of a valid passport (more than six months).
• 6 photos (3cm * 4cm).
• The highest academic degree (documents not in English or Chinese must have a notarized English or Chinese translation).
• Texts must be sent in a language other than English or Chinese with a notarized translation.
• The research or study plan must be submitted in Chinese or English (not less than 800 words).
• Acceptance letter from the supervisor.
• Two letters of recommendation in English or Chinese from the applicant’s former University professor or associate professor.
• The copy of the foreigner’s physical examination form and the blood test report must be original and written in English.
• Certificate of non-criminal conviction.
• English language ability (IELTS: 5.5 TOEFL score minimum 80).

Applicants who have used English as a medium of instruction in their previous education must provide a certificate of English proficiency issued by their previous educational institution.

Applicants from countries where English is the primary language do not need to take an English language test.
