It will cover the costs of attending the summit for five outstanding young leaders who are working on either climate change or education issues. The summit is a four-day event that will take place on 18 – 21 September 2024.

The Deloitte One Young World Scholarship 2024 is a way for Deloitte to support young leaders who share its vision and values. The scholarship recipients will join the Deloitte delegation at the summit and will have the chance to learn from experts, mentors, and peers. They will also participate in Deloitte-hosted sessions and events during the summit.

The scholarship recipients will receive:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2024 in Montreal
- Travel to and from Montreal (economy class)
- Hotel accommodation in a private room between 18 and 21 September 2024
- Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Participation in Deloitte-hosted sessions and events during the summit
- Mentorship and support from Deloitte leaders and experts
Profile of a Participant for the Deloitte Scholarship
The scholarship is seeking candidates who have worked on one or more of the following areas:
- Reducing carbon emissions and mitigating the effects of climate change through technology, activism, policy, or nature-based solutions
- Empowering people to take climate action and raising awareness about the climate crisis
- Reducing the impact of climate change-related disasters and strengthening resilience
- Improving access to education, skills, or employment for those who are left behind by the changing economy, such as women, girls, and disadvantaged youth
- Creating skills development or lifelong learning opportunities for people to prepare for the future workforce
- Accelerating entrepreneurship, new types of employment, or overcoming barriers to employment
The scholarship is also looking for candidates who have:
- A passion for creating positive change and a vision for a better future
- A willingness to learn from others and share their own insights
- A desire to collaborate with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and sectors
- A commitment to apply what they learn from the summit to their own projects and initiatives
- A potential to become a leader and influencer in their field
Eligibility Criteria
- Be aged 18-30 by the date of the summit (18 – 21 September 2024)
- Have a good level of English, both written and spoken
- Have a valid passport and be able to travel to Canada
- Have a demonstrated interest and involvement in either climate change and/or education
- Have a proven record of leadership, innovation, and collaboration in their chosen field
- Have a commitment to participate fully in the summit and the Deloitte sessions and events
- Have a commitment to stay in touch with Deloitte and One Young World after the summit and join the alumni network
How to Apply For the Deloitte OYW Summit?
To apply for the Deloitte One Young World Scholarship 2024, candidates need to:
- Visit the Deloitte Scholarship Application page and fill out the online form
- Provide personal information
- Provide details about their education, work, or volunteer experience
- Provide a short biography (max 100 words) and a profile picture
- Answer four application questions (max 300 words each)
- Provide two references
- Submit the application form by 14th January 2024
