Qatar Expo Volunteer 2023 | Explanation of volunteering
The threat of desertification extends to one-third of the planet’s land area. Wasteland is becoming a global issue as it grows by 12 million hectares annually. The global gardening community can and must address this problem by spreading knowledge and offering solutions.
The term “Green Desert, Better Environment” is used frequently around the world. To plant the seeds of a greener and more sustainable future, bring together expertise, knowledge, science, technology, efforts, and people.
Four major events will be held during the year of sharing, learning, and celebration at Expo 2023 in Doha, Qatar:
Expo 2023 Doha Qatar aims to bring people and ideas together to speed up innovating and finding research solutions for important scientific progress in the field of advanced agriculture, in order to produce beneficial, environmentally friendly and healthy food while reducing the impact of the climate.
Four subjects are emphasized in modern agriculture:
- Strengthening the role of farmers
- Bridging knowledge and technology
- Ensure coordinated solutions
- Promote sustainable agriculture
Technology and creativity
Future green solutions are made possible by technology and innovation, which is also a key factor in reorienting the use of fossil fuels, developing remedies for urban industrial pollution, and advancing substitutes for chemical-intensive agriculture.
Qatar Technology & Innovation will concentrate particularly on 4 topics at Expo 2023 Doha:
- Hands-on experience
- Rainwater harvesting
- alternative energy solutions
- Urban greening and urban agriculture
Environmental awareness emphasizes how vulnerable and essential the physical environment is, and how we may resolve the challenges that endanger it by addressing the most pressing ones first.
Three areas are highlighted by environmental awareness:
- Affiliation with education
- Perma gardening
Sustainability recognizes the need for civilization to continue its modern way of life while aiming to preserve biodiversity and natural balance.
Only through striking a balance between various needs on a local and global level will this be possible. It alludes to both our ability to withstand hardship and our determination to leave our children with a sustainable future.
Sustainability is a genuine concern for today even though it involves a desire for the future. Recognizing and tackling the problems with the environment across the world is our obligation in order to change our lifestyles, economic practices, and governmental laws in ways that respect future generations.
This should motivate us to continuously work on developing new technologies and creative solutions in order to keep the public supportive of the overall changes that those new technologies will bring about. While reinventing conventional methods, we must all come to an understanding of a new notion of what is “modern.”
A shift should be driven by technology and innovation, working to increase the use and improvement of traditional agriculture rather than industrial agriculture.
Redefined as part of Expo 2023’s theme are the three pillars of sustainability:
- Economic: Invest in cutting-edge farming technologies.
- Social – create a link between people and nature to increase awareness.
